Concerned about potential safety hazards posed by the campus’s 129 radioactive tritium exit signs and wanting a non-electric alternative in case of a power failure, officials at Roseman University in Las Vegas, Nevada worked with Luminous Egress to design a photoluminescent egress system to safely evacuate the university’s faculty, staff and students.

Luminous Egress replaced the tritium exit signs and sourced appropriate disposal to meet NRC regulations. Warrantied for 25 years, photoluminescent exit signs never need electricity or batteries. A cost-effective and environmentally sustainable solution, the signs recharge from any mix of ambient sunlight and artificial light.
